Turang is a visual narrative of love & connection between Nihung Singhs & their horses. Turang is a Persian word that means “horse”. It involves two horses named Neela & Sultan.
It showcases the preparation & final showdown of Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib. Neela (the horse) wearing the halter & other accessories. The best thing about the series is the natural light & overall color palette of the shots. Finally, on the day of Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib, Neela-Sultan & other horses run at full pace while showcasing their skills. Above all, hats off to these Nihung Singhs (Bhai Bantta Singh & Bhai Nishan Singh) for their bravery & keeping the tradition alive.
I went to Holla Mohalla, Anandpur Sahib for the first time. Hence, I would suggest that every Sikh should attend it at least once in a lifetime to know & experience our roots. Turang is an experience shared for the community to inspire & bring positive vibes among all of us.
